Province of Caltanissetta. It has 77260 citizens and spreads over a area of262 qkm.
As Gela was founded already about 689 before Christ by people of Rhodes and Crete, the town offers a lot of historic and religious attractions. So there are several archaeological excavations, where you can view, besides others, an acropolis, hot springs and a necropolis.
